Welcome to the official website of the Lake Erie Chapter of The Federation of Fly Fishers. It is the goal of the federation to promote the sport of fly fishing through education and conservation. By joining the Lake Erie Chapter and the Federation of Fly Fishers you will have the opportunity to contribute to fishery conservation and restoration for all fish in all waters.

Western New York offers an incredible diversity of fishing opportunities. All fish in all waters describes our area well. In our area we can fly fish 12 months out of the year. Cold water species include rainbow, brown and brook trout and the fall and spring runs of steelhead into the Lake Erie tributaries. Warm water species include small and largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge and even carp. Western New York is a great area for a fly fisherman! So help promote the sport you love and the fisheries that help make it so great to live here. Join the Lake Erie Chapter of the Federation of Flyfishers.

iNSTALLATION OF OFFICERS

New York State Licensed Guide Brian Slavinski will discuss Steelheading.

Brian will cover Knots; Rigging; Flies for Steelhead and other topics.

Our location is at The American Legion Post 735, 35 Legion Parkway, West Seneca, NY. Kindly enter the door to the right in the rear of the building. The other door is members only.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month.

Ray Markiewicz indicates that he needs some more volunteers to go to Veterans Batavia Hospital or Buffalo Veterans Hospital to assist the Veterans with Fly Tying. Kindly contact him at 716-549-1977 for information.
